JOB SUMMARY AND PURPOSE
Serving in the HR Service Team, the HR Assistant position is a resource for the Human Resources department, assisting with the Employment/Onboarding of new employees and general administrative tasks.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports HR Service Team: performs triage on incoming calls directing calls to appropriate HR support; performs employee onboarding tasks and assists new employee orientation.
- Performs administrative duties such as identifying and organizing documents for electronic archiving, photocopying, data entry, and organizing materials, credential, and licensing tracking.
- Assists with processing Employment Verifications on Accurate (including initiating the request, follow-up with candidates, checking that information is verified, and asking for additional documents as needed).
- Assists with resignation/termination workflows (initiating workflow requests on UltiPro, terminating benefits, updating termination/resignation log); processes employee terminations in HRIS, including final paycheck.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment, and education verifications.
EDUCATION:
- High School or GED and some college coursework in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in a Human Resources role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems and databases.
- Familiar with UltiPro.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
