This role is on the Optum Rx Controllership Process Improvement team and will be working primarily on Optum Rx Accounting and finance projects including serving as a BA on certain smaller projects and a belt on other larger projects. The successful candidate will be able to quickly get up to speed, learn the area and offer insights and improvements.
Are you a subject matter expertise using Six Sigma methodology in project management, scope definition, risk identification, methodology and resource allocation or facilitation or in accounting and finance with a desire to learn process improvement methodologies? Assist us with strategic initiatives crossing business teams and operating groups as a Project Six Sigma Consultant to coordinate and complete projects, drive performance and results. You'll investigate non-standard requests and problems, make presentations to senior leadership, ensure project documentation is accurate and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. Pertinent data and facts will be reviewed to identify and solve issues and mitigate risks, prioritize your workload and work on ad hoc projects as assigned. Finance and accounting background is required and Six Sigma Certification or in process of Certification for Project Management and/or previous experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive projects with a high sense of urgency meeting or exceeding internal or external customer deadlines and expectations
- Ensure project deliverables are used effectively and only when applicable
- Report project status to management as per schedule set by management
- Provide / track both hard and soft benefits to leadership for all projects you are leading
- Gathering requirements for smaller projects as a BA to supply to development teams for solutioning and development

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Finance or Accounting experience
- Moderate to advanced MS Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely and to facilitate meetings
- Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- Ability to travel occasionally up to 5%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant
- PMP Certification preferred or in process
- HealthCare Experience
