Job SummaryThe Senior Product Marketing Consultant will be integral in developing and managing competitive intelligence resources across all lines of business, including Fixed, Fixed Indexed, and Variable Annuities. This role involves proactively monitoring, researching, and analyzing market and competitor activities from diverse sources to provide insightful intelligence on emerging trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape.
Maintaining a high level of expertise in our product specifications, positioning, benefits, and features, as well as understanding distribution channels, the Senior Product Marketing Consultant will leverage this knowledge to create and deliver effective training programs and presentations for the sales force.
Main Accountabilities- Develop, execute, and evaluate training programs for new product launches in collaboration with sales management to enhance the sales force's knowledge base.
- Facilitate the collection and distribution of intelligence to support strategic planning and product development. Maintain expertise on competitors' positioning in the market.
- Work closely with sales management and the marketing team to create compelling product positioning and messaging for our target market. Identify new marketing opportunities to establish a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Cultivate relationships with Distribution and Marketing teams to gain insights from frontline staff.
- Establish and nurture connections, including participation in industry study groups such as LIMRAs, with competitive intelligence analysts at peer companies.
- Provide timely responses to sales organization inquiries regarding competitors' annuity products.
- Continuously update competitor profiles, detailing products and pricing, to highlight strengths and weaknesses.
- Assist in product illustration projects as needed, involving template development, documentation of product requirements, and assessment of bugs/issues.
- Share expertise as the subject matter expert in the annuity space with the marketing team to contribute to collateral and positioning.
- Collaborate on various tasks as required to ensure the prompt, accurate, and cost-effective support and implementation of new initiatives or projects supporting the sales and distribution of the company's products.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree required
- 7-10 years of working in or within the insurance/annuity space, preferably in a role that allowed you to understand the annuity market.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple levels within the internal organization
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties. Team player!

- Ability to demonstrate & communicate technical aspects of life and annuity product initiatives
