As part of Johnsonville's Member Services team, you'll be responsible for recruiting, building and retaining a highly talented, diverse workforce. Use your expertise in human resources and business to support and drive success for a team of outstanding members at our production facility in Holton, Kansas.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Human Resources function at the Holton facility with a focus on hiring and retaining members committed to making the best sausage in the world.
- Ensure Johnsonville's unique culture continues to thrive and serve as a strategic advantage for the organization - now and in the future.
- Identify and reinforce the key behaviors that drive the Johnsonville Way.
- Support Johnsonville's leadership principles:
- Coach the development of personal capabilities.
- Learn faster and encourage others to do the same.
- Transfer ownership to those who execute the work.
- Create the environment for ownership where each person wants to be responsible.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, absenteeism and member satisfaction.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes as a member of the plant leadership (Core) team.
- Facilitate resolution of member relations issues.
- Coach and influence others to make timely decisions using sound leadership practices, Johnsonville guidelines and legal considerations.
- Administer and continuously improve programs around pay, performance and the workplace.
- Perform all duties related to the Human Resources role.
- Work with facility teams to improve the quality of work life as seen by our members and provide guidance for Best Place to work team.
- Use the Johnsonville Way to coach 2 direct reports.
- Create and implement the annual Affirmative Action plans for the Holton plant.
Education:
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources required; Preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience leading and supporting strategic initiatives, influencing others, and driving results, required.
- Bi-lingual (written and verbal) in Spanish and English, preferred.
