POSITION SUMMARY
Interviews members for consumer loan and new account requests. Makes sound decisions on member requests inside approval authority. Educates members on features and benefits of products and services. Recommends products and services that meet member needs, including digital solutions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interviews for and closes consumer loans and HELOCs within granted approval authorities including complex and intricate requests. Interviews and closes requests for refinancing or rewrites of existing loans, approving or denying loans within lending authority and recommending on loans above lending authority.
- Utilizes automated underwriting and approval software to guide lending decisions.
- Maintains sufficient knowledge to assist with other types of loan applications.
- Performs member transactions and assists with greeting members and directing them to the proper employee or technology solution.
- Performs collections on problem loans.
- Processes and utilizes automated new account applications for individual members, trusts, estates, IRA’s and UTTMA accounts including checking applications and interviewing applicants in order to obtain all necessary information to complete the CIP file.
- Consults with members to educate them on features and benefits of products and services. Recommends products and services based on member financial needs.
- Serves members in multiple channels including in branch, online and over the phone.
- Enhances member relationships through follow-up activities to include outbound calls.
- Makes referrals to appropriate departments.
- Serves as a leader and shares knowledge in order to train Banking Consultant III’s and is a resource for questions.
- Contributes to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial by actively participating in community relations efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required.
- Two year degree in Sales, Credit or Finance preferred.
- Three years of experience in a financial institution; or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a minimum of 3 years related work experience including consumer lending and deposit product knowledge.
