Job Responsibilities
- Consulting with patients to understand their health concerns and medical history.
- Reviewing and interpreting medical images to determine patient status and future medical care, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scans, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and X-ray.
- Reporting the imaging findings and ensuring delivery of results to the referring doctor.
- Determining the exact images required for diagnosis and delivering orders to radiological technicians.
- Supervising the duties of assigned junior staff.
- Completing all required documentation accurately, timely, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards and to comply with Electronic Medical Record requirements.
- Providing effective communication between all members of the multidisciplinary team of caregivers.
- Assisting in covering for unexpected absences.
- Participating in Consultants on-call Rota and covering in exceptional circumstances for colleagues’ absence.
