Our Education team offers consulting services and technology solutions to help schools, school districts, and state education agencies/ministries of education promote student success, improve programs and processes, and optimize financial resources.
Role Overview:
The Senior Consultant will take a client-centric view and apply a consultative approach to understanding and solving complex problems faced by state and local education agencies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of state and local strategies that expand PCG’s impact on teaching and learning across the New Jersey and New York region. It is expected that the successful candidate reside within New Jersey or New York, have a strong reputation within that region, and be able to travel to client locations as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a trusted partner to state and local agency clients, applying a consultative approach to solving complex problems.
- Helps clients devise forward-looking visions and strategic plans.
- Builds and maintains strong professional networks within the education sector.
- Understands and serves as an expert in complex federal regulations and requirements.
- Independently manages complex projects with limited supervision.
- Develops and leads effective communication plans with client agencies.
- Identifies and elicits requirements from key stakeholders.
- Develops and executes new growth strategies.
- Identifies new sales opportunities and follow-up on leads.
- Plans and monitors ongoing project tasks.
- Delegates tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Mentors, supervises, and develops junior staff members.
Required Skills:
- Deep working knowledge of K-12 public school systems within New Jersey and/or New York.
- Ability to effectively engage and develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong quantitative skills and able to analyze and interpret data.
- Outstanding oral and written presentation skills.
- Demonstrated initiative in creating new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or 10 years’ experience required, graduate degree preferred.
- 5-10 years’ relevant work experience.
Working Conditions:
Remote - NJ Remote or NY Remote. Some travel required for external client meetings.
Compensation:
As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role: $80,000-$125,000, along with a range of benefits including medical and dental care, 401k, PTO, and parental leave.
