What are we looking for?
SoftPro has an opening for a Senior Technical Implementation Consultant to join our AMAZING Implementation Team. This position is located in our Raleigh, NC office with a hybrid schedule, or fully remote for the right candidate. This is a hands-on technical position that will leverage real world experience and vendor best practice knowledge to communicate and assist external customers so that the technology leveraged is suitable to run our suite of applications. Excellent communication and comfort with presenting technical details is required while this position will regularly interface with customer senior management and technical resources.
At times, the position will work with internal cross department resources to assist customers who are experiencing performance or application errors. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to accurately assess customer impact and guide these cross-department resources to gather data and work collectively to resolve customer concerns.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of many different systems and technologies commonly used by small to large organizations. Ongoing learning is a requirement of the position, including maintaining current knowledge, and certifications.
What will I do as a Sr. Technical Implementation Consultant at SoftPro?
- Participate in presales and new customer Implementation calls and speak to application technical requirements, system recommendations and technical deployment strategies
- Evaluate customer’s environments to ensure technologies leverage are deployed in accordance with vendor best practices and that they will adequately support our applications
- Work with various internal and external resources to identify and correct any reported performance or application issues
- Perform software installations and upgrades for our full suite of products.
- Perform customer database migrations
- Accurately document all technical consultations, conversations with customers, resolution steps and gather feedback in Microsoft Dynamics CRM and DevOps
- Communicate implementation and configuration needs to the Business Services Group and R&D Teams
- Front line technical support assistance to our internal Implementation, Training, Document and Report departments for our SoftPro applications
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging computing technologies
- Own key customer technical items and participate with resources from our Support, R&D and Implementation departments to identify and resolve customer issues
- Creating, owning and maintaining multiple VM environments for internal departments
- Travel to customer locations on occasion to assist with isolating and correcting technical infrastructure or performance issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What skills do I need to be a successful Technical Implementation Consultant at SoftPro?

- Strong problem solving, analytic and testing skills

- High attention to detail and time-management skills
- Evening and Weekend availability required for after-hours scheduled services
- 6+ years of IT experience at the server & infrastructure level
- Microsoft certification or equivalent - MCSA (specifically SQL and Windows certifications)
- SQL Server 2016 and later experience with installing, configuring and fully supporting
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting the following:
- Windows 2012 and later Server and Active Directory (all aspects)
- Familiar with VMware and virtualization technologies
- Various networking components (Switching & Routing)
- Citrix Presentation Server and/or Microsoft Terminal Server
- Office 2010 and later
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Backup software and processes
- Experience with remote desktop control solutions (Screen Connect, MS Teams, Go To Assist, LogMeIn, etc.)
- Windows scripting
Education Requirements
A Bachelors Degree is desirable but not required. Microsoft Server operating systems certifications (MCSA) are also highly desirable.
