Director, Sr. Lead Info Security Solutions Consultant
TIAA is seeking a Director, Sr. Lead Info Security Solutions Consultant that will report into TIAA’s Global Cybersecurity and Fraud Management organization and will provide technical support to TIAA’s Retirement Sales and Relationship Management teams. This support will be to conduct client-facing presentations and discussions on how TIAA’s Global Cybersecurity and Fraud Management organization protects client data and accounts. This role serves as the bridge between our technical cybersecurity solutions and our clients’ needs to understand. This position will assist our stakeholders by dealing with complex issues and concerns, resolving them using their technical expertise.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and solutions, coupled with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicates the specific needs of the business to Cybersecurity and acts as the principal point of contact within the line of business or organizational unit for cybersecurity related issues.
- Reviews the technical feasibility assessment of adopting external cloud based IT platform and infrastructure services within the organization.
- Guides the identification of portions of the organization's IT platform/infrastructure with the highest potential return for cloud deployment.
- Develops the organization's global strategies and initiatives to enhance Information Technology plans, operations and procedures.
- Identifies risks, and assists the business in making informed technology risk decisions.
- Participates in key initiatives and projects to ensure that cybersecurity controls are accounted for early within the project and software develop lifecycles.
- Provides security design requirements and guidance based on IT Policy, Standards, Procedures and related programs.
- Monitors industry security updates, technologies and best practices to improve security management.
- Participates in the development of information security processes, procedures and guidelines that support information security policies.
- Serves as a cybersecurity subject matter expert (SME), coordinating and providing multi-disciplinary knowledge, skills, and experience in security architecture, and security management roles and responsibilities.
- Responds to line of business customer queries about the Cybersecurity program in support of the business initiatives.
- Oversees the cost/benefit evaluation of cloud solutions compared to virtual private networks, dedicated hosting, and in-house solutions.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in a client-facing role, preferably in sales engineering, consulting, or pre-sales in the cybersecurity space.
- General understanding of cybersecurity technologies such as network security, encryption, firewalls, threat detection, incident response, and compliance standards.
- Experience articulating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences and compiling presentations to reflect information.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Ability to work in a demanding environment and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Possess professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or other relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Experience working in the financial services industry sector.

Base Pay Range: $132,400/yr. - $209,500/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance.
