Repsol is seeking students from the Geosciences for an internship within the Geological Low Carbon Solutions team.
- Based onsite at our office in The Woodlands, Texas, Monday-Friday, 40 hrs/week for 12 weeks.
- The internship will begin on Monday May 19 and conclude on Friday August 8. (Must be available for the full program period)
- Our interns receive a competitive hourly salary based on the degree in process as of May 2025.

Job Description: The successful candidate will be assigned a project within an area of interest to be supervised by a senior Geoscientist.
- Each project will serve to support Repsol’s Geological Low Carbon Group, focusing on opportunities associated with CCS, Geothermal and Salt Cavern and/or newly developed low carbon opportunities (Lithium etc.).
- Specific tasks could include evaluating potential CCS storage location, defining potential CO2 injection location, generating a well database, interpreting seismic data, constructing geological cross-sections etc.
- In addition, specific tasks could include regional mapping and play generation to help geothermal screening evaluations.
- Each student will work as a member of a technical team that includes geologists, geophysicists, technologists, and engineers.
Requirements for Consideration:
- Fully authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Additionally, we are not authorized for employment under OPT/CPT/F1 visa programs.
- Successful completion of 2 years towards a Bachelor's (or higher) Geology or Geophysics, or Geological Low Carbon (CCS, Geothermal, H2 storage) program.
- Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.3 or higher, to be confirmed with transcript (unofficial transcript is acceptable).
- Must be available for a continuous 12-week period for the duration of the 2025 summer intern program, starting May 19th and ending on August 8th.
- Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors, Master’s and Ph.D. encouraged to apply.
- Preference for candidates with some internship experience, ideally supporting well integrity analysis.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Detail-oriented, a strong analytical background.
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
- Demonstrate an understanding and enthusiasm to develop solutions for Geological Low Carbon problems (CCS, Geothermal, H2 Storage).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a variety of technical and non-technical staff.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Professional conduct is fundamental to success in this position.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
Required Location, Schedule, & Availability:
- Position will be supported onsite, M-F, non-exempt (hourly) 40 hrs. per week, at our US headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.
- Non-local candidates may be considered provided they meet the required qualifications as listed above and understand they are responsible for any travel and/or temporary housing in order to report to the assigned office.
- Candidates must be available for the duration of the summer intern program beginning on May 19 and through Aug 8.
