cBEYONData is looking for a consultant with financial management experience, along with in-depth knowledge of financial and payroll transaction management. Our consultants work closely with our clients to understand the mission and strategic objectives to illustrate how the systems support their business needs.
The consultant will help our national security functional experts navigate a complex and changing business landscape. Our consultants solve our client’s complex issues by learning the intricacies of the problem set at hand, the client’s objectives, and the operational environment in which results must be implemented to create holistic solutions with high impact. The consultant will work on a multi-disciplinary team that has direct partnerships with end-users within the command and stakeholders within the Army, focused on modernization and divestiture from legacy systems and into current ERPs, such as GFEBS-SA. This is a fast-changing role that evolves based on the client’s need, while prioritizing process improvements within the command/Army and actively supporting operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Understand Army financial management with emphasis on payroll management and be able to translate business process, principles, and best practices associated with financials into concrete system-level activities and requirements
- Conduct complex analyses regarding civilian payroll, including incorporation of non-payroll financial and personnel information
- Provide oral/written recommendations pertaining to external defense civilian payroll system guidance, instructions, regulations, and audit recommendations, and obtain support and acceptance of proposed position
- Review, comprehend, and interpret a wide range of laws, policies, regulations, and directives
- Develop various courses of action for the client to help understand and mitigate risks and maintain operations
- Conduct proactive and consistent research to identify process improvement opportunities
Requirements:
- Ability to be on-site 100% of the time at Ft. Belvoir, Virginia; currently partial telework exists, but is not guaranteed long-term
- Active Top Secret security clearance strongly preferred. Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS is possible
- Experience in DoD Financial Management and civilian payroll operations
- Ability to collaborate within the team cross-functionally in a rapidly changing mission-oriented work environment
- Experience in reconciling records and source documents to form solutions to errored or out of balance financial transactions
- Strong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills and organization skills
- Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in supporting financial management, business process re-engineering, data analytics, and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Customer serving personality within a fast-paced environment
