What you will do:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Risk Management Consultant to join our team. As a Risk Management Consultant, you will provide high level services to our policyholders, including safety training and participating in safety meetings. You will also be responsible for completing underwriting survey reports in a timely and complete manner, as well as providing quality safety services to our policyholders. Your expertise will help us improve risk desirability and control loss experience by submitting technically sound recommendations.
Essential Functions:
- Research business customers via internet and other risk information platforms.
- Plan, schedule and complete workplace/work site underwriting risk assessments with commercial customers for Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Property and Automobile. Surveys completed via combination of approaches including: self-assessment, phone surveys and web assisted video surveys.
- Effectively document and communicate risk operations and LOB exposures and controls to underwriting.
- Submit technically sound recommendations to improve risk desirability and help reduce and control experience.
- Investigate, analyze and determine incident and accident fundamental causes (frequency and/or severity) and recommend corrective actions.
- Understand and effectively promote and explain risk services to clients and agents.
- Provide risk improvement and value add services to small through medium sized commercial accounts, up to $250,000 in premium.
- Technically proficient in two of four LOB - Worker's Compensation, General Liability, Property, and/or Auto risk control.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Meet the quality and quantity performance standards of the department.
- Maintain good communications with other departments, policyholders and producers (in person or virtually).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Conform with all company policies and procedures.
What you need
Education: Bachelor's Degree- safety, health, fire protection, engineering or science preferred or Equivalent experience.
Experience: 2-4 years- Safety/Risk Control/Fire Prevention preferred.

Salary Range
$82,500-$123,800
The final salary to be paid and position within the internal salary range is reflective of the employee’s work experience, their geographic location, education, certification(s), scope and responsibilities in the role, and additional qualifications.
