The pay listed above is encompassing of a total range, final compensation offered will be dependent upon several factors to include but not limited to years of experience and education within the position and industry.

Scope of Work:
The Alternate Program Manager provides direction, leadership, and guidance to ensure alignment with corporate/contract policies, strategic objectives, and organizational goals that are accomplished safe, on-time, and error free.
Responsibilities:
- Provide cradle to grave oversight of event planning, staffing, preparation, and management for USAF Academy events.
- Run point on sub-contractors for Football and Graduation (communication, staffing needs, invoicing).
- Staff and manage diverse team of employees and volunteers to cultivate operational success.
- Evaluates each event to ensure appropriate material and labor are allocated.
- Ensure parking lots and roadways are set with proper equipment prior to events.
- Consult with customers to determine objectives and requirements for events.
- Train, supervise, and oversee event staff.
- Ensure all Parking/Traffic employees are Colorado State Flagger Certified.
- Provide operational oversight at events and support Event Supervisor as needed, to include timekeeping, equipment management, staff briefings, reporting, and communication with USAFA Events Management.
- Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Maintain event material inventory control and accountability.
- Maintain storage areas and assigned break rooms.
- Coordinate logistics for each event to include vehicle and material allocation.
- Meet regularly with USAFA Athletic Department, Security Forces, and USAFA Transportation Department to discuss traffic and parking plans for each event, staffing needs, and equipment needs.
- Meet regularly with Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), USAFA Events Management Team, and AFAAC leadership to ensure operations for events run smoothly.
- Work with Program Manager and Procurement to acquire equipment and supplies as needed.
- Work with USAFA Civil Engineering to acquire necessary vehicles for Football and Graduation operations.
- Work with Program Manager to implement all policies, procedures, and expectations to staff.
- Work with Program Manager to identify solutions to current operational issues.
- Work with finance staff to keep credit card receipts and tracker up to date on monthly basis.
- Work with Program Manager to update and conduct annual Staff Trainings and Supervisor Trainings.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected with minimum to no supervision, determines business function metrics and measures, and reports progress as directed.
- Provides technical support to the Program Manager.
- Consistently produces quality products and service.
- Completes all training within required timeline.
- Performs all work in a safe and secure manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Three (3) years of working event operations experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job successfully.
- Three (3) years of parking and traffic management experience.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude to all patrons, guests, and staff.
- Ability to work closely with fellow team members and event management, as well as be able to problem solve, manage multiple tasks, and make informed decisions independently.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as attention to detail.
- Desire to learn and adapt to a quick and everchanging environment.
- Ability to recognize and respond to emergencies.
- Positively promotes Company to peers and patrons and takes initiative to be involved throughout events.
- Must be available to work alternate shift schedule to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation to arrive prepared and on time for work.
- Duties will require frequent periods of sitting, standing, and walking. Physically fit to lift up to 50 lbs. Willing to complete other tasks assigned by management in support of event requirements.
- Must maintain licenses and/or credentials required for this position.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
- Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.
- Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.
- Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
- Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain – side hills and slopes.
- Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
- Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.
