Job Summary
The Sales Consultant prospects and secures new customers for uniforms, linen, first aid, floor mats, restroom supplies and facility rental services. Each sales consultant will be assigned a territory with enough prospects to help you be wildly successful. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and works closely with the General Manager of the Alsco facility.

Essential Functions
- Prospects and secures new customers for uniforms, linen, first aid, floor mats, restroom supplies and facility rental services.
- Meet or exceed $130 overall sales quota and $80 Target Market sales quota, quarterly bonuses paid out for meeting and annual bonus paid out for exceeding these quotas. Target Market is defined as Industrial, Automotive, Healthcare, and Facility Service customers.
- Proactively identify, solicit and motivate targeted prospects using a variety of methods such as cold-calling, email, social media, lead qualifying from alsco.com, and presenting proposals. Actively maintain sales funnel with company CRM.
- Alsco invests heavily in SEO, PPC and other digital marketing to procure leads for Sales Consultants. It’s expected Sales Consultants to quickly contact these leads to ensure the best opportunity for us to win.
- Participate in company promotions, contests, meetings and training.
- Follow company sales policies and procedures, including price and core product guidelines and new installation procedures.
- Build relationships, communicate openly, educate customers, manage customer needs and proactively work with other departments to smoothly transition a new customer.
- Safely operate a vehicle on each trip, following all applicable laws and company policy. Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure regular vehicle maintenance.
- Attend/work trade shows and marketing events as required.
- Monitor and report competitor activity in your territory.
- Follow written and verbal instructions. Perform other tasks as directed by supervision.
Additional Functions
- May work with and support other sales personnel or functions as necessary.
Requirements Qualifications
- Industry experience in linen, textile and/or Outside B2b sales is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, as well as strong time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding, safety or other violations.
- Recognize colors, sizes and types of product. Count, add and subtract accurately.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment.
Education/Experience
- College degree preferred or equivalent sales experience
Compensation
- Base salary starting at $42,000 plus commission, quarterly bonus, and annual bonus
- Guaranteed commission for the first year
- 12:1 Commission Multipliers on Uniforms, Dust Control, Restroom Supplies, First Aid Kits, AEDs and Floor Mats.
- All other products range from 1:1 to 4:1
- Company car or fuel allowance
Typical Physical Activity
- Physical Demands/Requirements consist of standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
Typical Environmental Conditions
- Vehicles on public roads, inside general offices, customer locations, areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, Service Center or depot.
Travel Requirements
- Daily, driving by vehicle within a designated sales territory.
