• Providing highly specialized senior technical knowledge and coordinating administration, monitoring, management, and implementation of configuration management and automation of processes.
• Providing expertise in working with the right tools and processes to build an efficient and effective automated environment for DevOps.
• Providing expertise in developing and implementing lifecycle management and vulnerability management best practices for Linux and Containerized environments such as Ubuntu and Docker.
• Providing expertise in automation for Linux and Docker infrastructure including the integration with orchestration and automation systems using Ansible and Jenkins.
• Providing expertise in configuration management to keep track of software and operating system configurations.
• Providing expertise with writing code to replace manual infrastructure provisioning.
• Providing expertise with creating automated processes for system monitoring and alerting on downtimes, errors, and similar events.
• Providing expertise with configuration of containerized applications in an enterprise environment.
• Providing expertise with VMware-based virtualization and cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
Delivering high-quality technical documentation – upgrade documents, run books, etc.
Experience Requirements
Core Skills
- Able to run scripts and create automations for Start and Start Services on Ubuntu.
- Able to create routing tables on Linux Platforms.
- Enterprise management of Linux platforms including lifecycle, patching, monitoring, and surveillance.
- Management and monitoring of Docker-based workloads.
- Automation utilizing Python, Ansible, and Jenkins.
- Experience with network management platforms such as Netbox.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMware, Cisco Hyperflex.
- Cisco 9K, SD-WAN (Viptela) configuration, migration, strong troubleshooting experience.
- Palo Alto Firewalls, Panorama, installation, configuration, daily operation.
Technical Skills
- IPv4/IPv6 experience.
- Experience with projects relating to 24×7 critical environments and operations.
Communications/Analytical Skills
- Ability to work in an agile dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
- Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
- Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
