The Position:
Full-time Monday Through Friday Office hours 9-4 five days a week
- Average 25-35 patients daily
- 80% scheduled, 20% walk-ins
- Call on 1:3
- 2 other physicians in practice
- No midlevels
- After Hours patients seen in the EM
- For EM Pediatric Patients (FDR Admits)
- Inpatient light 2%
- Inpatient census 0-4
- Nursery Census 0-3
- Level 1 Nursery 45 Births per month average
Staff/Equipment:
- 8 Exam Rooms
- RN/LPN/Lap Tech
- Respiratory Therapist
- Crash Cart
- Inhaler
- O2
- Audiometer
- Nebulizer
- Airway
- IV Supplies
- Suction/Aspirator
- Peak/flow meters
Lab Services Procedures Required:
- Outpatient Pediatrics
- Inpatient Pediatrics
- Nursery Level 1
- Central Line Placement (umbilical catheters)
- High Risk and C-section deliveries
- Circumcision
Preferred Skills:
- Chest Tube Insertion
- Diagnostic/therapeutic taps
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an Accredited Pediatric Residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible and within 5 years of residency
- NRP, PALS, BLS Certifications Required
- Will look at PED and PEDOP
- License to Practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
The Hospital:
- 42 Beds
- 500 deliveries annually
- 3 Obstetricians
- 1 midwife
- No midlevels
- No home deliveries
- In-house Anesthesia
- Level I NICU
- High Risk come CONEMAUGH
- No assist for C section
