WORK SCHEDULE
Part-time Days (50% FTE)
Tuesday 7:30am – 4pm, Wednesday 7:30am -11:30am OR 12pm – 4pm, Thursday 7:30am – 4pm

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTIONThe Headache Clinic at UWMC-Roosevelt in Seattle’s University District treats migraine and other headache disorders with an approach that places the emphasis on you -- the whole person.
Our team includes the only board-certified headache specialist in Washington state. They will help you manage your headaches and improve your quality of life with a multimodal and personalized treatment plan that focuses on good sleep, nutrition, exercise and stress reduction. Therapies may include BOTOX, CEFALY and gammaCore.
RESPONSIBILITIESDemonstrates excellent customer service skills
Responds to patients’ needs and concerns as appropriate
Accepts patient payments (e.g., co-pays, deposits)
Coordinates and assists in scheduling ancillary appointments and consults
Using clinic guidelines, gathers information on the telephone regarding the nature of the patient concern. Triages calls to appropriate staff; obtains necessary information for the return call; initiates emergency procedure, when necessary, uses appropriate documentation tools
Orders, coordinates, and distributes medical records as needed
Obtains necessary insurance plan information
Maintains ongoing documentation and tracks authorized referrals
Reviews the Epic Referral Queue daily for incoming orders and new patient referrals
QUALIFICATIONSHigh school graduation or equivalent AND
One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience
ORAn equivalent combination of education/experience
