Join Our Team as a Hepatology Nurse! We have a full-time position open for this unique role. The ideal incumbent will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, hospital and/or clinic, and have some experience in working with patients who have complex liver diseases.

You will work alongside a team of hepatology providers, as well as the gastro team, to provide the best care possible for the families and patients. This position is primarily working behind the scenes and coordinating care so the patient/family do NOT have to come into the hospital. This role relies heavily on a nurse who has a passion for educating the families to provide care for their child and prevent ER visits. This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum. This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
- Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
