Salary range - $16.70 - $23.46
We're seeking a Anesthesia Technologist for Emory University Hospital, responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work and ensuring the safety and care for all patients.
This individual will:
- Perform all duties as an Anesthesia Technician I and II, including set up and support of equipment in all anesthetizing locations, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring lines.
- Follow established procedures for equipment inspection. Test equipment to ensure that it remains in proper operating condition.
- Perform lower level troubleshooting and take corrective action to prevent hazardous situations. Ensure the availability of expendable laboratory and monitoring supplies by inspecting inventories and initiating purchase requisitions.
- Respond to emergency service requests made after regular working hours on a rotating basis. Assist in transporting post-operative patients to the Intensive Care Unit.
- Follow sterile technique principles and other infection control policies and standards to maintain a healthy work environment. Take required precautions in keeping with JCAHO, organizational and other safety guidelines when working with electrical equipment.
- Equipment Checks: Responsibility Description: Perform daily apparatus equipment checks.
- Set up and calibrate hemodynamic monitoring lines: Responsibility Description: Able to prep setup by purging free of air and calibrating before use.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Associates Degree in a related field and five (5) years of work experience as an Anesthesia Technologist or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
