Shift: Days, 7a-7p, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, call every 3rd weekend
Length: 8 Weeks. Must work holidays and weekend rotation.
Requirements:
- KY license
- 4 years experience
- Comfortable with chest tubes, pacer wires and external pacemaker, central lines, foleys
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIH
- EPIC experience required (1 year minimum)
Others:- EKG Exam required: Will be required to pass an advanced dysrhythmia test for competency assessment
- Special Drips include: Amiodrone, Primacor, Cardene, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin
- COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed

Cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) travel nurse jobs provide care to acutely ill patients who are recovering from cardiothoracic (CTICU) conditions or events, such as open heart surgery, AAA repairs, and CABG. A CVICU travel nurse must be capable of administering care on a full spectrum, from clinical tasks such as medical history analysis and diagnostic testing, to personal care such as counseling patients and family regarding home-care and wellness. Overall, the CVICU nurse treats some of the most acutely ill patients in the hospital and must do so safely and compassionately.
