The Stock Doc veterinary hospital, a mixed animal practice, is seeking a veterinarian to participate in the day-to-day operations of our clinic with the potential to grow into partnership. The Practice opened in 1989 and has increased clientele numbers every year.
Each veterinarian is able to develop their own area of interest at The Stock Doc. We all do everything, but one doctor has channeled her CE into orthopedic surgery, and we have invested in all she needs to perform her surgeries. Another has a special interest in breeding horses, so we make sure she gets to handle as many mare packages as she wants, and the doctor who loves soft tissue surgery gets to do all the anal glands, entropions, and soft palate resections she desires. We work four days a week and are on call every four or five weekends, and have a technician’s support for every call. We are willing to consider part-timers or seasonal help (Spring into Fall).
The clinic is equipped with two great ultrasound machines, digital x-ray, full Idexx In House Lab, surgery and dental suite, Shepherd Software, wonderful pharmacy, laser therapy, acupuncture, endoscope, and digital dental x-ray just to name a few of our toys. We have heated toilet seats for the winter too!
We are a long way from an emergency/referral clinic, so we get to perform some amazing procedures here. We raise money every year to add to our Critical Care Fund that we dip into every time we have a well-cared-for critter whose family can’t quite make the financial jump to save an animal that we KNOW we can fix. It helps our hearts to be able to deliver the medicine that would otherwise be a euthanasia. We work closely with the shelter to keep their critters healthy and we have a spay/neuter voucher program to make this surgery affordable to EVERYONE! One of our doctors works with the spay/neuter program of Wyoming that travels around to help control the animal population. We help out the college rodeo program by being their VET ON CALL every year. We started a drive to get POOP STATIONS posted all around town to help with pet waste clean-up. We were Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year this year, and our community involvement is too lengthy to list here.
Our team is truly amazing. We have technicians and technicians assistants that are driven to provide excellent care in a gentle and efficient manner. Our owner truly values every individual and wants each team member to continue to grow into any position they aspire to.
New grads welcome! Snow birds and part-timers are welcome too! We need more help to be able to provide the high standard of care we pride ourselves on.
