At NorthBay Health, the CT/Radiology Technologist II performs general radiographic studies, according to established Q.A. criteria. Scans and organizes images, completes required paperwork and charges. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Performs bedside radiography. Assists with clerical duties. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use. Reports equipment malfunctions.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Performs C/T and Radiology (X-ray) examinations in accordance to established protocols.
- Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
- Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
- Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
- Reports to radiology supervisor all equipment failures and/or malfunctions.
- Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to Q.A. policies.
- Responsible for processing images, organizing paperwork and completing charges.
- Works in other areas of the department such as radiology, ultrasound, etc.
- Organizational standards for Joint Commission, Patient Safety and the Department of Health will be met or exceeded.
- Takes call or stand-by when required.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education:
- Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course.
Licensure:
- AHA or equivalent BLS Certification required.
- CRT, Fluoroscopic license within 180 days of hire.
Experience:
- Minimum two years of experience in general radiology.
- Minimum one year of C/T experience.
- Clerical and computer experience.
- Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in all age groups: Practices the principles of ALARA.

Compensation:
- Hourly Salary Range Min $55.81- Max $64.60 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience).
- NOC Shift $8.75 per hour.
- Evening Shift $5.88 per hour.
- Weekend shift $1.40 per hour.
