Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center - Naturopathic Doctor
Wayzata, MN · Full time
Seeking a Naturopathic Doctor to join our growing integrative medicine team!
Description
At Minneapolis Integrative Medicine Center, we take a different approach to patient care, integrating wellness, nutrition, and prevention into everyday clinical practice. We use in-depth testing including microbiome, genomics, and hormone testing routinely, and we prioritize longer appointment times with patients to become their partner in health.
We are seeking a registered Naturopathic Doctor who would like to join our fun, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. As a Naturopathic Doctor at MIMC, your primary responsibility will be clinical care of our patients, both in person and virtually. Generally, you will be expected to support patients 3-5 days per week at our office in Wayzata, MN; when not in person, you will provide telemedicine support via video/phone consultations and messaging.
The ideal candidate would be excited to work collaboratively with other health care providers and grow in their functional/integrative medicine treatment practice! They should be organized, collaborative, and proactive in their approach to both clinical and administrative work. Compassion and a genuine desire to see patients improve, both in the short and long term, are essential.
This listing is to hire 1-2 providers. We are looking for providers who would be interested in one (or more) of the following clinical focuses:
- Women's health, including willingness to discuss bHRT with patients if it's determined that is the preferred treatment modality.
- Men's health, including willingness to discuss TRT with patients if it's determined that is the preferred treatment modality.
- Integrative Oncology, with or without a FABNO, who utilizes additional treatment modalities such as IV therapy, injection therapy, or others.
- Complex Cases such as MCAS, POTS, Lyme's Disease, Mold exposure (or CIRS), Fibromyalgia, and other complex presentations.
It is understood that under these clinical focus umbrellas, quality root cause medicine will be utilized. If you're treating anxiety and you suspect mold or microbiome imbalance, you'd feel empowered to investigate.
What you’ll do:
- One-on-one patient care with a willingness to grow & learn in clinical care.
- Work directly with a health coach to implement, encourage, and support your patients through their treatment plan.
- Be a team player on a small but mighty team. Ability and willingness to jump in & get your hands dirty when necessary, including phlebotomy and other skills allowed by our registration.
- Engage with your clinical mentor weekly to review cases, learn new skills, protocols & grow in your critical thinking skills.
- Engage in practice building strategies that could include networking, webinars, in-person classes, and maintaining relationships with referral partners.
- This is not a work-from-home or remote position. There may be certain circumstances where virtual and/or remote work is available, but this should not be an expectation.
What you’ll need:
- Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine with either pending or satisfactory results by NABNE Board of Examiners & ability to obtain unrestricted registration in the State of Minnesota.
- 2 years of experience providing Naturopathic Medicine services in a one-on-one patient-facing capacity. New graduates are welcome to apply, but open and willing to build a successful practice at MIMC is a must. At this time, we do not allow moonlighting with a personal private practice. We want your full attention and dedication!
- Tech-friendly with the ability to use a MacBook, Google Suite, Zoom & be trained on CharmEHR.
- Extremely organized with a strong attention to detail & direct communication style.
- An empathetic customer-service approach to ensure that all patients feel heard and cared for.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to quickly, accurately, and kindly resolve problems that may arise.
- Strong English language skills in both written and oral forms.
- Be education-focused both in patient visits & in our community. Teaching classes, contributing to our Wellness Library and social media content is a must.
- Describe yourself as productive, autonomous, a self-starter, and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once - we’re a small business and each team member wears multiple hats!
- Passion for your personal health and wellness and that of others.
What you’ll get:
- Minimum FTE required is 0.6 (3 days per week; part time). Ability to work up to 1.0 FTE (5 days per week; full time).
- See patients clinically 8-3:30 or 9-4:30, 1 day must be a Friday (if less than 5 days per week).
