At Atlanta Family Hospice, it is important to us that we offer a workplace that employees are proud to be a part of. We are looking for an exceptional Director of Patient Care Services to join our exceptional team. The Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services. The DPCS establishes, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinates and oversees all direct patient services provided by personnel.
- Provides guidance to supervisors.
- Assists in managing clinical teams.
- Assists in the administration of the organization's budget.
- Evaluates the performance of the Clinical Supervisors.
- Conducts annual evaluations on clinicians.
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records compliant with local, state, and federal laws.
- Promotes hospice referrals in the health care industry.
- Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Registered Nurse in the state with current licensure to practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in hospice preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of management experience in hospice or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of business management and governmental regulations.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must comply and demonstrate acceptable professional standards and practices.
- Must understand and accept hospice philosophy and be knowledgeable of pain and symptom control as related to terminally ill patients.
- Must be able to work full-time position, Monday-Friday from 8:30am until 5pm.
- Must be a team player and able to form and maintain relationships with office staff, patients, families, and partnering facilities.

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
