AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology – Kissimmee/Celebration

Full-Time Position

General Summary:

The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), is responsible for:

Performing physical examinations as needed and monitoring cardiology & interventional cardiology patients in the clinic and hospital setting in Celebration and Kissimmee: new patient visits, pre-& post-procedure care, follow up.
Seeing patients independently and supporting hospital call.
Ordering and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc.
Monitoring the patient’s course of treatment and making appropriate referrals to either a physician or specialist, as needed.
Collaborating with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff.
Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times while maintaining personal and professional growth.

Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen. Schedule is Monday through Friday with weekend call rotation.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
Bilingual or fluent in Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
Flexibility to cover both Celebration, Kissimmee and Partin Settlement clinics on scheduled days.

Required Education/Experience:

Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies.
Experience in Cardiology as an Advanced Practice Provider necessary.

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license or ability to obtain.
ANCC, AANP or NCCPA certification required.
Current BLS and ACLS.
CVNP-BC or CVPA-BC a plus.
