Nestled within the beautiful Appalachian Mountain Range in North Carolina, this 150+ bed short-term acute care hospital offers a broad scope of medical services to patients residing in the surrounding communities, including Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery, Critical Care, Emergency Services, Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiovascular Services, and Women’s and Children’s Services. This hospital and trauma center has also achieved accreditation by the Joint Commission.
In this role, you'll provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient assessments
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribing medications
- Coordinating referrals to specialists when needed
- Focusing on health promotion and disease prevention
- Offering patient education on topics such as nutrition, exercise, and preventive screenings
- Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and collaborative environment
