JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Department of Nursing at Lakes Regional Healthcare supports all nursing professionals in practicing at a competent level of care while demonstrating a professional level of behavior in the skilled practice of nursing. The Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) scope and standards of practice are exemplified within the position. The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to identify patient needs and systemically plan and implement a plan of care, followed by continually evaluating the outcomes of that care. Emergency Room RN provides care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life-threating conditions with decisive action. RN will understand triage in order to prioritize injuries based upon medical need and be able to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.
Fulltime position is eligible for a sign-on bonus and offers a Student Debt Repayment Program.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or above, New graduates accepted.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-State Licensure required.
Current certification, or earliest available achievement of certification in: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NRP
Current certification, or earliest available achievement of certification in Mandatory Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Reporter Training. Basic Coronary Care Class Certification preferred
