The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Clinical Therapy Manager at Montana State Hospital.
The Clinical Therapy Manager provides oversight, education, and training to professionals providing patient treatment, including individual therapy, group therapy, psycho/educational services, and therapeutic interventions on and off treatment units at the Montana State Hospital. Responsibilities include development, implementation, and monitoring of treatment approaches and providing ongoing evaluation and recommendations to ensure high quality delivery of services.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity:
- Expert knowledge of clinical treatment techniques for adult psychiatric clients including subgroups of patients with psychotic disorders, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, patients involved in the criminal justice system, geriatric patients, and other mental health disorders.
- Ability to effectively develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based treatment programming per standards of care and specific patient population needs.
- Understanding of individual and team approaches to treatment and therapy for emotionally disturbed and/or handicapped adults.
- Knowledge of application of professional and ethical standards of practice.
- Effective interviewing and information gathering techniques.
- Ability to effectively utilize knowledge and skills and apply them to practical assessment and treatment modalities for patients.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to analyze, assemble, and organize information.
- Ability to cooperate with and demonstrate respect for other employees contributing to a positive and efficient working environment.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment including using spreadsheets, word processing, database, email, internet, and other computer programs.
- Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):
- Licensure as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LCPC), Behavioral Analyst Licensure, or Psychologist License in Montana or ability to attain a Montana license prior to the first day of work required.
- Licensed in respective discipline for at least 3 years.
- Five (5) years of work experience as a healthcare clinical manager/supervisor preferred.

Additional Information
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
This position is open until filled with frequent screening of applicants.
