Summary
Position Highlights:
- Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms utilizing mammography equipment and following all safety guidelines relating to radiation exposure.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of medical terminology and patient flow process as it relates to the breast clinic and our department. Must maintain State License, ARRT, and CPR certifications.
- Must maintain competence in providing care to young adults, middle age adults and older adults.
- Must maintain and practice Radiation Safety at all times.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will have competency in all aspects of Radiology, patient positioning, and radiation protection.
- Has an associate degree in Radiology.
- Has over one year experience in Mammography.
Responsibilities:
- Performs screening and diagnostic mammogram procedures.
- Performs Stereotactic, needle localizations or Bone Density (DXA) examinations.
- Understands and is able to demonstrate knowledge of Pacscan, RadNet, Capstone, Powerchart, Tracking Board, RadNet Work-list, Hi-IQ and GE PACS and any other systems necessary to perform the duties.
Credentials and Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree - Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or equivalent required.
- At least one year experience in mammography required.
- Competency in all aspects of Radiology, patient positioning and radiation protection required.
- ARRT (RT) certification /Advanced ARRT Mammography required.
