This position is located at the McKinney, TX facility. The Occupational Health Nurse (LPN/RN) will be an independent and organized member of the occupational health team to provide clinical, health assessment, and preventive health services for the Dynacraft McKinney day shift employees and specified contract employees. The Occupational Health Nurse (LPN/RN) is expected to work Monday through Friday on either day shift or evening shift.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
- Treats minor illness or injury and provides immediate emergency care, coordinating with supervisor or consulting physician in arranging referral and transportation for additional medical care when necessary.
- Provides substance abuse screening.
- Maintains drug and medical supplies, issues protective equipment and maintains related medical records.
- Provides health education, counseling and supports the delivery of the site's preventive wellness services.
- Compiles accident statistics, maintains injury/illness logs, collects attendance data, and communicates with attending physicians as part of the disability management process and workers compensation.
- Timely response to completion of safety items, audit findings, employee concerns, and near misses.
- Conduct benchmarking activities of other PACCAR and non-PACCAR plant employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work with employees and managers at all different levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills, ability to work independently, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of OSHA, State, and Federal laws.
- Experience with MS Office.
Education
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN), or licensed practical nurse (LPN), in Texas or able to meet Texas reciprocity requirements.
- Three years of clinical experience required with Occupational Medical experience preferred.
- Three years of safety experience preferred.
- Accredited CPR/AED/First Aid Trainer preferred.
