Medical Assistant - Part-Time - South (3294533)
Hours: 36 hours - 12 hour Days 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Location: Brigham & Women's Hospital service area
The Medical Assistant will be an integral part of the Healthcare at Home care team. This innovative care delivery model allows patients to receive hospital-level care in their homes.
Reporting Structure:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Nursing, the Medical Assistant will collaborate with nurses, paramedics, physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to provide care and service to patients.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Active participation in patient care including obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, conducting EKGs, and other relevant procedures.
- Assist patients with their visit needs as applicable.
- Support patient care and expedite care during visits, including remote patient monitor setup and review.
- Maintain supplies and equipment for the field team.
- Share responsibility for quality, safety, and laboratory check systems in the clinical environment.
- Monitor and arrange for restocking of supplies as needed.
- Assist with pre-admission and post-visit follow-up calls.

Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations:
Current Basic CPR certification required.
Education:
Minimum of high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Graduate of an MGH approved Medical Assistant program required.
Experience:
6-12 months Medical Assistant experience preferred.
