The Summer School Afternoon Supervision Leader for Middle School, Grades 6-8, provides afternoon supervision for students in a safe and engaging environment. The Leaders will supervise students during lunch and as they engage in age-appropriate games, activities, and quiet independent work until they are picked up or transition to their afternoon lessons/classes. The primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the health and safety of students.
- Taking and reporting attendance.
- Handling day-to-day operations.
Position Details:
- Work Year: 1.5 Months
- School Year: Summer School 2024, June - July, Dates may vary depending on the course
- Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM. Hours may vary depending on enrollment.
- Hourly Rate: $16.00/Hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience with supervising students in an elementary school setting.
- Possess required functional and technical knowledge and skills to do his or her job at a high level of accomplishment.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement, active interest to enhance and apply new functional skills.
- Ability to use resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner.
- Knows how to organize people and activities and understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flows.
- Ability to help others through emotional or tense situations, tactfully bringing disagreements into the open and finding solutions all can endorse.
- Ability to analyze information objectively and make a reasoned judgment.
- Clearly assigns responsibility for tasks and decisions; sets clear objectives and measures; monitors process, progress, and results; designs feedback loops into work.
