SUMMARY
The position provides clinical oversight within the Fairbanks Native Association, Ralph Perdue Center Clinical Intake program. The Clinical Supervisor will have overall responsibility for monitoring clinical services provided by the Clinicians with the Intake program including, operating following the treatment philosophy, approach, and service delivery model to maintain compliance with the State and the Commission for Accreditation for Residential Facilities (CARF) standards, as well as FNA philosophies. The Clinical Supervisor will monitor and guide clinical staff to ensure the achievement of program goals and objectives, outreach, monthly and quarterly grant and program reports, and clinical supervision and clinical training. This position will supervise and manage clinical staff personnel.
JOB DUTIES
- Develop, revise, and maintain the clinical policies and procedures of the Clinical Intake program as needed.
- Assure a thorough orientation of new clinical staff as prescribed in the policies and procedures.
- Directly supervise the RPC Intake Clinician(s).
- Train, oversee, and provide guidance on clinical documentation.
- Review treatment charts routinely for accuracy, treatment compliance, and adherence to FNA, CARF, and State Standards.
- Create staff development and individual learning plans to ensure clinical staff are maintaining yet growing the necessary skills for increased performance and certification.
- Conduct annual evaluations of all clinical staff and compose work plans that adhere to the Alaska Core Competencies for each position.
- Assist in the prompt writing of reports as needed.
- Assist in outreach services to ensure utilization of treatment programs.
- Develop and maintain the Clinician and staff work schedules to facilitate consumer needs.
- Adjust staff responsibilities during position vacancies to meet consumer needs.
- Adhere to the Alaska Core Competencies outlined in C. Supervisor Core Competencies.
- Maintain CPR/First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (RESPECT or similar) training annually.
- Participate in external and internal meetings and training as needed.
- Complete other job duties as assigned.

- Always maintain confidentiality following 42CFR Part 2 and HIPAA requirements.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Familiarity with human resources and Behavioral Health policies and procedures.
- Utilize the Intake Operations Manual to complete tasks.
- Consistently report to work on time.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices.
- The incumbent of this position must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and conflicting deadlines. The incumbent shall always show cooperative behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and consumers.
- Strong understanding and sensitivity to diverse cultures and lifestyles, with demonstrated experience working effectively with Alaska Native populations.
- Strong competency in addiction medicine and the ongoing needs of this population.
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing to staff and consumers.
- Skilled in operating personal computers utilizing a variety of computer software.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities and tasks concurrently and meeting deadlines.
- Skilled in creating and maintaining a cooperative working relationship with other employees.
- Ability to work skillfully as a team member as well as independently.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience)
- Master’s degree in a behavioral health field.
- Two (2) years of experience in Addiction treatment.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year of experience in supervision.
- First Aid and CPR certification required within thirty (30) days of hire.
