Job Description:
The Quiah Group is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Nurse Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, with experience in compliance, auditing, or quality assurance. This role involves conducting surveys and evaluations of healthcare facilities to ensure adherence to state and federal regulations. Although a nursing degree is not required, candidates must have relevant healthcare experience and either hold or be willing to obtain the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT) certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive surveys and evaluations of healthcare facilities, focusing on compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Review and analyze documentation, including patient records, facility policies, and staff qualifications.
- Interview healthcare staff and patients to assess the quality of care and facility operations.
- Prepare detailed reports on survey findings, including identifying areas of non-compliance and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities to develop and implement improvement plans.
- Stay updated on current regulations, standards, and best practices in healthcare compliance.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance surveyor skills.
- Obtain and maintain the SMQT certification, if not already certified.
Qualifications:
- Relevant healthcare experience in compliance, auditing, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- SMQT certification is preferred; however, candidates willing to obtain this certification are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to travel as required for on-site surveys and evaluations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a regulatory or compliance role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare facility operations and patient care processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
