Ultrasound Technologist
Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for an Ultrasound Technologist at our Riverton location.
The ultrasonographer will perform detailed general and vascular ultrasound images. The ultrasonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment and works closely with the radiologist and other members of the healthcare team. The ultrasonographer must demonstrate independent judgment when performing procedures and addressing other difficult situations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills. Examples include email, word processing, NOVAPACS.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Dependable and punctual.
- Proficient in all anatomy and procedures.
- Able to multi-task.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Provide detailed and quality 2D images.
- Work directly with the radiologist and other clinical staff.
- Perform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician.
- Prepare preliminary reports.
- Coordinate with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided.
- Provide excellent patient care.
- Address problems of patient care as they arise and make decisions to appropriately resolve the problems.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Must be a graduate of a sonography program.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Able to work in a busy and fast-paced environment.
- Able to work alone and/or with other healthcare staff.
- Willing to travel to other sites as needed.
- Able to take constructive criticism when needed.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
- A fast learner.
