About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to shape, drive, and coordinate our ambitious ESG program. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing our organization's ESG objectives while ensuring data-driven decision-making and efficient project management. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's sustainability efforts and contribute to long-term value creation.
Duties include:
- Support development and execution of the company's ESG strategy, aligning it with business objectives
- Oversee ESG projects and initiatives across the organisation
- Ensure compliance with current and emerging ESG regulations and standards (e.g., SECR, ESOS)
- Lead cross-functional ESG projects using established PMO methodologies
- Work with internal (e.g., management, finance, HR, site managers) and external stakeholders (e.g., suppliers, consultants) to coordinate and drive projects
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
- Monitor project progress and report on key milestones to leadership
- Identify and mitigate project risks
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG data
- Develop and maintain ESG metrics and KPIs
- Create data visualisation tools to communicate ESG performance effectively
- Continuously improve ESG reporting processes and internal controls
The post requires a minimum of 1 day per week in the Bury St Edmunds office and willingness to travel nationally to sites and regional offices an additional 2 or 3 days per week.
About You
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in a relevant area preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate projects from site level to management
- Strong project management skills, 2+ years of experience in project management
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualization including use of tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
- Knowledge of ESG and sustainability issues in the house building industry is an advantage
- Regulatory ESG knowledge (Guidelines, reporting requirements, building codes) is an advantage
