Responsibilities
Through the use of accepted techniques and practices, provides high quality Computerized Tomography and Radiographic studies. Through safe operation and care of equipment, ensures proper exposures of patients to radiation for Computerized Tomography and Diagnostic Imaging procedures. Ensures safety of patients by following established guidelines for IV, oral, and rectal contrast administration. Communicates effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff. Able to evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities under pressure situations. Has the initiative to resolve customer problems by self and involves supervisors as necessary. Provides professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics while following hospital policies, procedures, and standards. Assists in mentoring and training students involved in associated teaching programs. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
- 1 year experience as a technologist in a full service Radiology/CT Department
- Certification in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology issued by State of California (CRT)
- California Fluoroscopy permit
- Certification in Radiological Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
- Current BLS certification
- Venipuncture/IV contrast Administration Certificate required.
