Summary:
Performs electroencephalograph (EEG) testing.
Detailed responsibilities:
- Attaches and connects electrodes on the head from EEG machine. Performs prescribed testing.
- Reviews patient's history and educates patient about procedure. Monitors and documents patient's condition and responds to and reports any seizure symptoms.
- Identifies and corrects artifacts. Edits and forwards results to attending physician for analysis and interpretation.
- Performs long-term video EEG monitoring on patients, demonstrating proficiency in the International 10-20 system. Performs job functions following the Guidelines for EEG and Long Term Neuro-Diagnostic Monitoring in Epilepsy as set by the American Society of Electro-Neuro-Diagnostic Technologists.
- Performs data retrieval and reduction operations and video EEG recordings prepared in a form suitable for interpretation by the physician.

Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Credentials:
- Graduate of or enrolled in an Electro-neuro-diagnostic technology program accredited by Commission Accreditation on Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).or a clinically equivalent program (i.e hospital based program)
