As an Acute Patient Care Account Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Takes advantage of new sales opportunities through effective time and territory management. Provide support in the Forecast process and inventory management process.
- Understand sales goals (Quota/Forecast) and leverages sales strategies and tools in order to fulfill annual objectives.
- Build relationship with key customers in the buying process. Proactively present new application opportunities to end-users. Offer value added services to enhance the selling process. Generate leads to new business through interactions with end users.
- Collaborate with regional manager in the development of short and long-term growth targets that align with existing business plans and strategies for greater territory and account penetration.
- Develop and implement own business plans and program that increase market coverage. Performs analysis and investigation about product and markets (3M-competitors).
- Actively participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards, complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.
3M’s Acute Patient Care Account Manager represents and develops 3M Medical Surgical Vascular Access and Skin Integrity in integrated health systems and independent hospitals within an assigned territory. Acute care call points include the ICU, Infection Prevention and Wound Care.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND 4 years of sales or clinical experience in a private, public or governmental environment.
OR
- High School Diploma/GED AND (8) years of sales or clinical experience in a private, public or governmental environment
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience within Vascular Access, Skin and Wound Care products, Medical Device or Disposable Sales
- Experience with Value Analysis Committees and Hospital roles: Infection Prevention, Nursing Admin, Sourcing.
- Understanding of national contracts negotiation and/or distribution management.
- Understanding of Kit/Pack Tray channel.
- Computer capabilities including basic PC software, Microsoft office suite, SalesForce, and specialized sales software and on-line sales support systems.
- Problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead and teach others.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
Work location: Sales Territory Minnesota – Minneapolis/St. Paul
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $137,645 - $168,232, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
