This is a Full-time position to work collaboratively with the Director of Recovery Services to provide direct administrative and clinical supervision to all nurses who provide care to the following teams: Adult Residential Recovery (inpatient Substance use), Youth Residential Recovery (inpatient substance use), Mobile MAT, and the Collaborative Care Clinics (Multi-disciplinary teams that specialize in providing substance use and mental health treatment for adults in outpatient settings). This position will directly oversee all training, scheduling, documentation, credentialing, and audits for all nursing staff who are assigned to the teams listed. Will work in collaboration with team Managers, Program Coordinators as well as the Medical Director for 24/7 teams.
This is a hybrid position, dependent on the need for on-site support.
Essential Duties:
- Mentoring and training of new staff as well as provide support and guidance to all assigned nursing staff.
- Will supervise direct patient care delivery.
- Will maintain ongoing communication with physicians and nurse practitioners concerning patient care.
- Will identify issues and emergencies, responding in a calm, trauma-informed efficient manner.
- Will work collaboratively with each teams’ clinical leadership, medical director, and clinical staff.
- Coordinate nursing staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Provide shift leadership and serve as the shift clinical resource.
- Perform evaluations, coaching and disciplinary action as needed for nursing staff.
- With support from the clinical management and recruitment teams, will recruit and hire nursing staff as needed.
- Provide weekly to monthly supervision for assigned staff, including performance evaluations and problem solving.
- Provide training to clinical staff, which includes medication management and reinforcing any policies and procedures related to medication management.
- Assure compliance with patient rights policies and work with other staff, as needed to resolve grievances.
- Assist nursing personnel to act in compliance with corporate compliance policies and procedures and follow all regulatory requirements.
- Actively participate in the quality improvement process for the facility, which may include participating in ongoing development and application of medical policy and procedures to ensure best practices.
- Participate in and provide in-service continuing education sessions for nursing and clinical staff.
- Assist with the management of staffing resources and patients.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations.
- Will step in and provide nursing coverage, as needed.
Other Duties: (As Necessary)
- Participate in supervision with Director by coming prepared with an agenda. Report high risk/problem cases using a problem-solving approach as well as feedback.
- Attend mandatory in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and online training as required.
- Maintain effective interpersonal relations with patients, peers, management, visitors, and the general public. Use language and behavior to promote dignity and respect.
- Follow Corporate Compliance rules in accordance with regulatory requirements and clinical guidelines.
- Effectively respond to patient needs and problems, initiate and maintain positive interactions, and provide timely response to phone calls, emails, and other requests.
- Have an understanding of how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of re-traumatization.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required:
- RN, BSN with at least three years of nursing experience, including two years of psychiatric and substance use disorder nursing experience.
- Must have familiarity with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and working in a Residential/24/7 facility.
- Experience and comfort working with adult, child and adolescent populations with co-occurring disorders.
Salary Grade 16: $74,800 - $93,000*
Additional Salary Information*:
- The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full-time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
Bonus Offered:
$2,500 one month anniversary
$2,500 6 month anniversary
$2,500 1 year anniversary
($7,500 total)
Additional Bonus Information*:
- Based on full time (40 hours/week). Prorate if less than 40 hours/week*
- Must work a minimum of 20 hours/week to be eligible for bonus*
- Current Jefferson Center employees not eligible for sign on bonus*
