The CT Technologist is a Radiologic Technologist who is trained specifically to perform Computed Tomography imaging for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients according to established protocols.
This position may be required to perform diagnostic imaging.
This is clinical work, performing diagnostic radiographic procedures for use in the evaluation of patients. Work also includes instruction of students and assisting with clerical functions. Work is performed independently under general supervision and is reviewed by the Supervisor (with physician feedback). Through adherence to established procedures and protocols and by observation and discussion of results achieved.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Completion of a certificate or degree course of study specifically in Radiologic Technology preferred.
License/Certifications: ARRT certificate and State of Maine license to perform as a Radiologic Technologist required. ARRT CT certified or ability to obtain certification within 15 months of hire. BLS required.
Experience: Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy preferred.
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
Must be able to work at all sites if needed.
