Location
Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic opened in January of 2008. We provide general and urgent medical care for northeast Rhode Island and southwest Massachusetts. Located in Cumberland, we are 20 minutes north of Providence. For our outdoor enthusiasts, you can enjoy hiking or biking along the scenic trails of the Blackstone River Bikeway. On the weekends, explore downtown Providence for museums, local restaurants, art galleries, and theatre.
Practice Overview
At Compassionate Care Veterinary Clinic, it is our mission to provide progressive medicine in a family practice atmosphere. While our clinic started as an urgent care, we have expanded to a full-service facility where we offer yearly checkups and vaccines. If you are looking to advance your skill set and collaborate on cases with our doctors, this is the place for you! Our state-of-the-art facility houses digital and dental radiology, digital cytology, ultrasound, Idexx in-house lab equipment, ECG, blood pressure monitors and a tonopen on site. Our team consists of passionate veterinary professionals who are highly motivated, compassionate, and thrive in a teamwork environment! While we deliver top-notch care, we also have a focus on having fun! We have a Mental Health Day, where we relax, unwind and recharge. We work with local charities to promote community service. What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Diagnose, treat and manage a variety of small animal cases
- Perform small animal surgeries with opportunities for mentorship if desired
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required
- Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Rhode Island
- Interest in soft tissue surgery preferred
- Interest in small mammal care preferred
- Surgical and dental experience preferred
- Previous experience or completion of internship preferred
- Flexible schedule - full or part time, 4 or 5 day work week
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and continuous learning
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Strong communication skills
- Positive team player who motivates staff with encouragement
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
