Charleston Oncology, PA is currently seeking a Hematologist Oncologist to meet the growing patient demand in our state-of-the-art cancer facilities. Our elite team consists of eleven Hematologists Oncologists spanning over
100 years of combined experience. We serve 6 locations across the Lowcountry region and are poised for exponential growth in the coming years. Despite our size, we balance quality of work and life with shared call and balanced patient loads. Responsibilities:
- Provides services and treatments to include: Medical Oncology, Hematology, Diagnostic Testing, Clinical Research, and Pharmacy.
- Works with patients to explain a diagnosis and stage of cancer, discusses treatment options, and assists in managing the side effects and symptoms of cancer and its treatment.
- Maximizes patient and family convenience.
- Provides compassionate, comprehensive cancer treatment in a comfortable environment.
- Assists patients with pain management.
- Keeps records of test results, writes prescriptions, provides patients with information on cancer, and monitors treatment plans.
Education:
- Medical degree in Oncology; successful completion of residency and fellowship in Oncology.
Experience:
- Five or more years of experience in an Oncology environment.
Skills:
- Caring and compassionate with patients; up-to-date working knowledge of cancers and cancer treatment options; appropriate technical skills to operate equipment related to cancer treatment; strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
