Job DescriptionThe Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Minimum Education Required2-Year College Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing.
Additional Education DesiredBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with a Major in nursing.
Required QualificationsDegree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
Unit Description- 9 East Rhodes is a 32-bed unit in the Acute Care Department. We specialize in Hepatology while also housing our medicine teaching services. On our unit, nurses work with attending physicians, residents, and medical students to deliver care in a team-centered environment. Our physician team rooms are on the unit or close by to promote this team-based approach. Nurses on our unit go through additional education to provide expert care and education for our Hepatology patients, with a special focus on pre-transplant workup and care. Our team is passionate about staff development and advancement as a dedicated education unit. We would love to welcome you to our team on 9 East Rhodes.
