Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the L&D nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
- Oversee patient care coordination, ensuring timely interventions and smooth transitions.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing training and educational opportunities.
- Manage budgetary and resource allocation for the L&D unit.
- Address patient concerns and complaints in a professional, timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as maintaining necessary accreditations and certifications.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
- Develop, revise, and implement policies and procedures for the L&D unit in alignment with hospital guidelines.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BSN required, MSN or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Labor & Delivery, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of California healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
