Matrix Providers is hiring a Physician-Radiology to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit in Groton, CT.
- Compensation: $225.00 Per hour
- Location: Groton, CT (will also read mammograms Newport facility)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- 40 Hours per week
- Hours are scheduled between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM
Requirements: The Physician must have and meet the following:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
- Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) at the time the degree was obtained.
- Certification: Possess and maintain board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology or by the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology. Meet current Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirements.
- Basic Life Support Required
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship and residency program corresponding to the specialty required, which the Accreditation Council has approved for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association.
- Experience: Possess a minimum of three (3) years of clinical practice in a Diagnostic Radiology Department within the last four (4) years.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
Radiologist Summary:
- The Radiologist shall provide services within the scope of their competencies and clinical privileges as granted by the Commanding Officer.
- Interpret routine radiographic studies including the chest, abdomen, extremities, head and neck.
- Perform interpretation of special radiographic studies including fluoroscopic procedures and radiographic procedures of the genitourinary tract.
General Duties:
- Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services.
- Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities as requested by the Government.
- Practice aseptic techniques as necessary.
- Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols.
- Notify supervisor regarding problems that the HCW is unable to manage.
- Participate in continuing education to meet own professional growth.
- Attend and/or comply with all annual training classes required by the Command.
