Salary: $120,000-$150,000 per year
Expected hours: 35-40/ week.

Schedule: Day Shift, M-F, No Nights, Weekends As Needed

License/Certification: License in Veterinary Medicine in Florida

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals, including pets, and diagnose any medical conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications, and perform routine surgical procedures.
- Develop treatment plans and recommend the best course of care for each patient.
- Monitor and maintain medical records for each animal.
- Provide dental care, including cleaning and extractions.
- Perform animal catheterization and other medical procedures as needed.
- Utilize aseptic technique to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Develop and implement a plan for veterinary critical care patients, including those requiring intensive care.
- Keep up to date with the latest advances in animal anatomy, physiology, and medicine.
- Maintain a clean and organized kennel area, ensuring that all animals receive proper care and housing.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including communicating with pet owners and answering their questions.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with industry developments.
Experience:
- A degree in veterinary medicine from an accredited institution.
- Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state where the position is located.
- Proven experience in animal handling, pet grooming, and animal care.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology, including equine anatomy.
- Experience with animal catheterization and other medical procedures.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and veterinary critical care.
- A strong commitment to providing high-quality care to animals and excellent service to clients.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
