Lead Ultrasound Technologist
(The Hospital for Endocrine Surgery is located within our West Tampa Hospital campus on Webb Road)

We are currently seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist. As Lead, you will be accountable and responsible for performing procedures and care, and demonstrate knowledge of the occurrence reporting system, using it to report potential patient safety issues. Your tasks and responsibilities include:
- Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures.
- Obtain and document a complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered and obtain informed consent in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images.
- Maintain statistical results for quality improvement.
- Communicate effectively with patients and other caregivers.
- Provide explanation of procedures within scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- A two-year Allied Health degree.
- Successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP-approved Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program.
- Current ARDMS (AB) and RVT credentials; ARRT(S) certification also considered.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous/recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist – minimum 3-5 years.
- Skills required: organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer, clerical.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions.
