The role you’ll contribute:
The CT/MRI Lead maintains a program which assures that quality is an integral part of all procedures performed and is responsible for the technical and quality management for the CT and MRI scanners. Responsible for protocols and oversees the strategic development and implementation of CT and MRI quality measures to ensure that these services are safe, cost effective, and aligned with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Responsible for the quality and efficiency of the CT and MRI scanners and staff at the AHICs in the WFD. Performs CT and MRI imaging procedures and other areas that he/she is registered in.
- Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Serves as a resource to CT and MRI staff as well as other members of the team as needed.
- Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations.
- Works with radiologists to establish protocols and is responsible for maintaining protocols on all CT and MR equipment.
- Is active in process improvement for CT and MRI.
- Inspects images for quality and educates technologists on best practice.
- Demonstrates an ability to solve job-related problems such as equipment malfunctions, alternate patient positioning if needed, additional views and realization of equipment and patient limitations.
- Regularly reviews the schedules to utilize equipment and time to maximum.
- Exhibits flexibility and willingness to make changes to improve quantity and quality of procedures.
- Provides technical supervision of CT and MRI Techs and ensures protocols are followed.
- Responsible for ACR Accreditation.
- Works with the managers to improve quality of the overall discipline and takes part in corrective action with employees when quality or technical concerns are subpar.
- Evaluate the service and equipment of the department according to the department policy and procedure, and ACR accreditation.
- Works as a staff technologist.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge in MRI physics.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 5 years experience as an MRI technologist.
- ARRT (MR) (CT).
- BLS.
