Med/Surg Nurse Manager
As the Med/Surg Nurse Manager, you'll be responsible for the supervision of patient care, nursing staff and MS operations. You will partner with Nurse Leadership to support and provide oversight of daily MS operations. Requirements:
To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of acute care nursing experience. Leadership experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
As the Med/Surg Nurse Manager at Gunnison Valley Health, you will assume responsibility for the administration and management of the department. You’ll plan, organize, direct, coordinate and control the resources to achieve department objectives. You’ll utilize your unique skills and ideas by:
- Providing leadership and direction to nursing staff, including RN's, LPN's and C.N.A.'s.
- Ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care to all patients on the unit.
- Overseeing the daily operations of the unit, including patient assignments, staffing and resource allocation.
- Leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Serving as a liaison between the unit and other hospital departments, fostering strong interdepartmental relationships.
Physical Requirements:
Occasionally (1-33%) -Reach across midline, crouching/squatting, stooping, stairs, carrying (0-20lbs)
Frequently (34 - 66%) -Standing, walking, sitting, change position, reaching, handling, fingering, lifting (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling (20-50 lbs)
Continuously (67 - 100%) -Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance.
Compensation: $.00 - $.00/hr, depending on experience.

Life and AD&D insurance: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month after hire date.
